Despite the ups and downs of the past year, Toyota is still the world’s biggest automaker, announced Toyota.

“Being number one in term of sales is not important for us,” Toyota spokesman Paul Nolasco told AFP. “Our objective is to become number one with the customer, in terms of service and customer satisfaction.”
In North American, Toyota production was up 18 percent last year.
But what about the safey-concerns splashed in headlines around the country?
Toyota has now added four extra weeks to new vehicle testing and the decision-making process is faster thanks to regional officers to oversee quality control. These new safety steps will test the cars in ways the owner’s manual did not consider, reports Tire Business.

In a press release from Toyota, 2010 was looked at as a positive next step for the company:
